Wrapped in Red

Diane Yee, our book designer, sent me these great photos that her husband took on a recent trip to China. This yarn-wrapped tree was in Beijing at Factory 798 which she describes as ‘ a very large and thriving art district.’ This tree was just outside a little shop.

Wow!

It’s so interesting to see someone doing this in China and I really like the various sizes of yarn wrapped balls. Very dynamic.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows the artist’s name of this installation? I’m doing an art history project on environmental art and yarn bombing and would love to cite this!

    Thanks!
