Lovely Portland, Oregon. I tagged, met cool folks, drooled at letterpresses, ate some voodoo donuts, and asked a few cool stores to carry our book. Pretty much a perfect vacation.
Of course, whenever I’m out and about it seems that I always spot a street fixture that could need some fixing when I’m without my needles. One of these requires a fingerless glove:
Any yarnsmiths in Portland up for the challenge?

You were here! Yesterday! And I didn’t know
I’m only an hour south of Portland…and that fixture definitely needs a cozy!
Oh, we were so close! I wish I had thought about that. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely be back to Portland soon.
I am close – but not close enough- because I would take that on in a heartbeat
it was so awesome to meet you at k/p!!! i am so excited for your book!!
!!!
I was in Portland for ARGFest-o-Con and spotted this darling while geocaching….must have been the morning after you put it up. What a small world!
How is it possible the yarnbombers and the ARGers were in town at the same time and didn’t see each other?
Like, srsly. http://twitpic.com/axb2c
I was that the ARGFest-O-Con was on town as we were leaving! Who knew?
We’re hoping to get down to Portland again soon. It is such a great town.
I live in Portland and I’d love to knit something for that fixture. Where is it?
Liza,
That fixture was across the street from the ACE hotel (east side of the intersection). If you knit something for it – we would LOVE to post a picture!
Leanne
I’ll look for it next time I am over there (I know just where you mean, though). I’ll send a picture if I can get it together!
