Yarn Bombing first started in Texas with the knit graffiti crew Knitta around 2005 (www.knittaplease.com). Since then others have put their own spin on it – some of the early artists include Masquerade, the MicroFibre Militia, and Stickontakt — check them out in our sidelinks.

Can you share where Yarn Bombing first started? I saw my first in Richmond Va today (http://www.jamesrivernews.com/2009/12/yarn-bombing-comes-to-river-city.html) and would like to add that as a nugget to my bit on it.
